Manhattan Cocktail by Bolognami
Today, we present one of the most classic and renowned cocktails, reimagined with a modern twist. By using an innovative ingredient like Chestnut Cream, we’ve given it that little something extra: the Bolognami Manhattan.
- Ice: As needed
- Papacello Trevisan Red Vermouth: 2 cl
- Angostura Bitters: 2–3 dashes (plus 3 for garnish)
- Rye Whiskey: 5 cl
- Bolognami Chestnut Cream: 1 tsp
- Rhubarb Liqueur: 1 cl
- Foamer: 2 drops (for the foam)
Preparation: The Modern Manhattan
Chill the Glass: Place ice in a cocktail coupe to pre-chill it. Mix the Base: Fill a mixing glass with ice. Add 2–3 dashes of Angostura Bitters, the Rye Whiskey, and the Red Vermouth. Stir well until chilled, then strain into your prepared glass. Prepare the Chestnut Foam: In a separate container, combine the Bolognami Chestnut Cream, Rhubarb Liqueur, and the foamer drops. Use a milk frother to whip the mixture into a thick, beautiful foam. The Layering: Once the foam is ready, gently pour it over the cocktail, taking care to ensure it floats on top.
