This is an unfiltered wine, made from grapes grown without chemical treatments in the vineyard and without the addition of yeasts. The grapes are harvested by hand, pressed using a vertical press, and vinified in natural cement tanks—all to maintain the high quality of this ancient grape variety. It is presumed that Syrah arrived in Italy from ancient Persia around the year 1000.
